Weekly milonga

Milonga Poema

Every Thursday night, we hold a milonga in the beautifully intimate ballroom in Latvian House, our Queensway (West London) venue.

For those unfamiliar with the term, a milonga is a social dance event or ball. It is the ultimate manifestation of the desire to learn the Tango—to finally use and unleash your knowledge on the dance floor with a variety of partners and enjoy feeling all your hard labours come to fruition.

The milonga starts at 9.30pm, just after our group Tango classes. We play a wide range of Tango, milonga and Vals music, from the golden era of the 1920–1930s right up to the present day—Tango Electrónico music with its eclectic influences and inspiring beats.

Our mission is to play inspiring and fresh music alongside the favourites; we will never merely play back tracks directly from CDs you already love and own. We believe that dancing in a milonga should be special, and play music to suit the mood. Furthermore, we entertain any musical requests you may have, providing all our guests with their special song and the 'perfect' dance of the evening.

Price

Our milonga session is excellent value for money at only £5.00 per person during regular evenings.

The entry price is subject to change due to special events, guest teachers, performers, musicians, or other unusual event on the night. For details of special event nights, times and entry prices, check the special events and news pages, prior to arriving for the milonga.

Alternatively, subscribe to our mailing list to receive weekly updates on classes, workshops, guest teachers, fusion and live music events, and our Tango balls, as well as any time or price amendments on particular evenings.
